Local by Góis began with a story of passion, family and love for our home.
We are Tânia and Emídio, a couple brought together not only by life, but by the dream of creating a restaurant that reflects who we are. A place where food tells stories, flavours awaken memories, and everyone who walks through the door feels truly at home.
At Local by Góis, we believe Portuguese cuisine can evolve without losing its roots. It is precisely in the recipes, ingredients and flavours we have always known that we find the inspiration to create something of our own.
We cook with respect for tradition, celebrating local produce and the flavours of the Algarve, with a contemporary outlook and a constant desire to surprise.
For us, welcoming people is as important as cooking. We want to get to know our guests, build connections and make every meal more than a meal — a memory.
The name Local captures exactly that: our place, our roots, the people who are part of it, and everything that inspires us.
